Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

1¼ cups Firmly packed brown sugar

½ cup butter, softened 

¼ cup all-vegetable shortening

2 tablespoons milk

1 egg

2 cups all purpose flour 

1 teaspoon salt

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

¾ cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Heat oven 375°. Beat brown sugar, butter, shortening, milk and vanilla in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg until blended.

Stir flour salt, baking and baking soda in medium bowl. Gradually beat into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonful 3 inches apart onto baking sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 or 13 minutes for crisp cookies. cool 2 minutes. Remove from baking sheet to wire rack to cool completely.
